Although, given that this movie seems to be set in the early 1980s, it's a bit mysterious why it took them so long to appear and start killing people, you understand. The villagers did not stand up, but quickly organized a lynching mob to eliminate the threat of zombies, only to be massacred by undead soldiers. The "convincing" zombie makeup of the Undead Soldier is basically composed of green paint, and does not even cover the entire face of the actor, which is washed into the lake. There is also a strange secondary plot about a zombie visiting his former daughter. Strangely, although she would have been in her 40s if she had been born at the end of the war, she still appears to be 12 years old, when did logic emerge in these movies? For example, even though they have been underwater for 40 years, why do their uniforms still look almost new, or why do these skinny girls only knee-deep in the water when viewed from the lake, seem to be swimming 12 feet underwater when photographed underwater? Poor performance, Naff zombie makeup (previously mentioned green face paint), painfully visible underwater shots taken in the swimming pool, not to mention the larger plot inconsistency than the lake itself mentioned earlier. The low budget did not even begin to describe this movie, and it is incredible that it was directed by the respected European horror film director Jean Rowling, despite the title being J A Laser. This is not to say that this movie is not without value. The absurd scene of zombies attacking naked young girls and the equally absurd farce with angry villagers made me laugh uncontrollably.
