A story about women that takes place in Warsaw in the present and 1950s. The protagonist is Sabina, a quiet and shy woman who has just turned thirty. It is obvious that she lacks a man in her life. Her mother knew all this and spared no cost in finding a suitable husband for her daughter. The entire situation is under the control of my grandmother, who is a sharp and sarcastic eccentric lady with no secrets to hide. Batch after batch of admirers arrived at the pre war apartments where these women lived, but Sabina was not interested in them. One day, out of nowhere, came the charming, intelligent, and very good-looking Brownislaw. His appearance will trigger a series of unexpected events, revealing the dark side of female nature. The Warsaw Film Festival scripted film is the first feature film by director Boris Lankosz, and it is also the first time documentary director Lankosz has made a feature film. This film was the opportunity to compete for Best Foreign Language Film at the Oscars, defeating two films, "The Mall Girl" and "The Crazy House".
